CONGO RDC : Violents combats en cours entre armée et les rebelles du M23 ( EST du pays )
Après une journée d’accalmie, des combats ont repris dimanche dans l’est de la République démocratique du Congo entre l’armée congolaise et les rebelles du M23, selon des sources sécuritaires et locales qui parlent d’affrontements violents.
« Depuis ce matin les combats font rage » dans les collines du secteur de Kibumba, a déclaré par téléphone un habitant. La localité de Kibumba, que se disputent l’armée et les rebelles, marque depuis plusieurs jours une ligne de front à une vingtaine de km au nord de la capitale de la province du Nord-Kivu, Goma.
« La situation n’est pas bonne à Kibumba, trois officiers dont un colonel viennent d’être blessés dans les combats« , a précisé une source sécuritaire sous couvert d’anonymat.
Qui sont les REBELLES du M23 ?
Le M23 (Mouvement du 23 mars), une ancienne rébellion tutsi qui a repris les armes en fin d’année dernière, s’est emparé en juin de Bunagana, à la frontière avec l’Ouganda et, après plusieurs semaines d’accalmie, est reparti le 20 octobre à l’offensive. Sa résurgence a ravivé les tensions entre la RDC et le Rwanda.
Le gouvernement congolais tente le tout pour le tout pour anéantir ce mouvement qui a pris du terrain dans l’est du pays.
Des centaines de jeunes Congolais se sont portés volontaires pour s’enrôler dans l’armée et combattre les rebelles du M23 , a-t-on appris samedi de source militaire. Dans un message à la nation jeudi, le président congolais Félix Tshisekedi avait « renouvelé » son appel aux jeunes Congolais qui en ont la vocation « à s’enrôler massivement » dans l’armée pour combattre la rébellion du « Mouvement du 23 mars »(M23).
